What is D Iron Bracket? A Fundamental Overhead Line Fitting for Distribution Network
Leave a message
D Iron (D-type iron bracket) is one of the most widely used pole line hardware in overhead power and telecom distribution lines. It gets its name from the classic D-shaped structure, designed to mount insulators, fix conductors and anchor cable assemblies on utility poles.
Core Application
It works together with shackle insulators, securing low-voltage overhead conductors, insulated wires, ADSS/OPGW optical cables on crossarms. Commonly seen in rural power grids, street lighting lines, telecommunication overhead routes.
Material & Surface Treatment
We adopt malleable cast iron or steel plate, finished by hot-dip galvanization. This treatment delivers strong anti-corrosion performance, suitable for coastal, humid, high-altitude and outdoor harsh environments, long service life up to 20+ years.
Our Advantages
✅ Standard dimensions, interchangeable with common market models
✅ Strict raw material inspection + 100% galvanizing thickness check
✅ Support OEM & custom drawing production
✅ Meet IEC & GB standards, available for project tender & bulk export
✅ Stable mechanical load, no deformation under normal tension
Specification Note
We supply multiple sizes: ED-1, ED-2, ED-3, ED-4 and customized D iron brackets. MOQ flexible for engineering orders.
A tiny fitting, but critical for stable power transmission. If you are sourcing overhead line hardware for distribution projects, welcome to send your RFQ for quotation and technical datasheet.
