The difference between load switches and circuit breakers

一.Different in nature

1, the load switch is a switch between the circuit breaker and the isolation switch, with a simple arc extinguishing device, can cut off the rated load current and a certain overload current, but can not cut off the short circuit current.

2, the circuit breaker refers to the switch device that can close, carry and break the current under normal circuit conditions and can close, carry and break the current under abnormal circuit conditions within a specified time.

二.Load switch

1, the load switch is installed vertically, the switch frame, closing mechanism, cable sheath, protection steel pipe should be reliably grounded (can not be grounded in series). Before operation, several no-load division and closing operations should be carried out, each rotating part has no blocking resistance, closing in place, and sufficient safety distance after opening. The fuse melt used in series with the load switch should be properly selected, that is, the fault current should be greater than the breaking capacity of the load switch to ensure that the melt is first fused, and then the load switch can be opened. When closing contact is good, the connection part is not overheating phenomenon, should pay attention to check the porcelain bottle dirt, cracks, porcelain, flicker discharge phenomenon during inspection; The switch cannot be flushed with water (indoor type).

2, the circuit breaker special attention is that because the reliability of the large-capacity circuit breaker contact will directly affect the normal use of the circuit breaker, so the installation must be paid attention to, in strict accordance with the manufacturer's requirements for installation.
