General requirements for anchor shackles

Better shackles are generally made of alloy steel, which has changed the history of ordinary carbon steel in the past. National standard shackles include general lifting shackles, marine shackles and common shackles. It is heavier in weight and larger in size, and is generally not installed in a location where it is not frequently disassembled. When choosing shackles, you should pay attention to the safety factor, generally 4 times, 6 times and 8 times. When the shackle is used, the rated load must be strictly observed. Excessive frequent use and overload use are not allowed.

(1) Shackles should be smooth and flat, and no defects such as cracks, sharp edges, and overheating are allowed.

(2) It is strictly forbidden to use cast iron or cast steel shackles. The buckle body can be forged from killed steel, and the shaft pin can be machined after bar forging.

(3) Drilling holes or welding repairs should not be made on the shackles. After the buckle body and the shaft pin are permanently deformed, they shall not be repaired.

(4) When using, the buckle body and the latch should be checked, and there should be no serious wear, deformation and fatigue cracks.

(5) When using, the lateral spacing must not be under tension, and the shaft pin must be inserted with a safety pin.

(6) After the shaft pin is correctly assembled, the width of the buckle body should not be significantly reduced, and the threaded connection is good.

(7) The use of the shackle shall not exceed the specified safe load.
