Pre-Insulated Lugs
The lug is composed of an aluminum barrel friction welded to an aluminium or copper palm. The insulation of the barrel is made with a black thermoplastic sealed with a flexible elastomer ring. A seal is also installed in, between the copper and the aluminium, in order to avoid galvanic corrosion. The crimping is made directly on the plastic part. They are water resistant and pass the dieletric test of 6 KV in water. The mechanical resistance is 50% of the cable breaking load.
